Assessment Commentary
The last year has seen a welcome growth in planned cyber security events in Tanzania; sadly Covid-19 has cultailed some of the plans. The involvement of the Bank of Tanzania in the TZ-CERT Capacity Building event at the start of 2020 is a good omen for the future. The Tanzania Youth Digital Summit 2020 and the CyberStars competition in Dec 19 are both a further step in the right direction. With some targetted support and encouragement, Tanzania could quickly reach Level 3.
