Careem (an app) user data breach (2018)

About
2019 - Careem (a ride hailing app) was attacked compromising the personal info of 14 million users from multiple countries. Included personal data, names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and trip data.

Key findings
Careem said no evidence the hackers accessed password or credit card information. While the breach involved access to Careem's data the company said it hadn't seen any evidence of subsequent fraud or misuse. Careem said it have investigated and strengthened is security systems.
