Mobile subscriber data breach (May 20)

About
Over 115 million mobile subscriber details (full name, home address, Mob number, CNIC number) stolen and tried to sell for $2.1 million. Investigations on going. Mobile data operators, not identified which ones, none of the Operators are owning up or giving any directive to their affected users. Last data entry was for 2013, thoughts are it possible is from breach of an old back up file or the breach itself took place a long time ago, investigations still on going.

Key findings
Investigations by Pakistani Telecommunications Authority (PTA) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Comment from the PTA chairman was they are still verifying the authenticity of the data.
