Highlights
Also known as the Cyber Crime Unit, this a branch of the Bangladesh Police which is operated under the Counter Terrorism & Transnational Crime of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Main function is to patrol, prevent, detect and investigate cyber-terrorism and cyber crime in the Dhaka area. Formed May 2016. Runs a helpdesk over a hotline number, e-mail, apps and different social media platforms. Also a state of the art forensics lab which only provides forensics opinion for internal cases.
